Tool Kits for Charity

Helping to Raise Money for Charity Organization: JDRF

One of the things I like best about being the Managing Editor of Tool Skool is that I get to meet a lot of really cool people. We hang out at press events with other online publishers and we learn from all of them. We also know most of the Marketing and PR people at the various tool brands, and most of them are happy to help out in any way they can.

Brad and I both have particular charities that are near and dear to us, as I’m sure do most of you. One of those for both of us is JDRF which is the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Juvenile Diabetes is also knows as Type 1 Diabetes and unlike Type 2 which can often be controlled by diet, it is an auto-immune disease that attacks the pancreas causing it to stop producing insulin. No one knows exactly why certain people (mostly juveniles) get Type 1 Diabetes. And while treatments are improving, mostly thanks to research from JDRF, there is no current cure.

Bidding for Good

Tool Kits for Charity

In addition to raising funds and participating in the 2014 JDRF OneWalk, I also help the Middle Tennessee Chapter procure donated items to be auctioned off in an online auction.

This year, we were able to get 3 really cool tool kits, and I wanted to share the information with Tool Skool readers, as you can bid on these items online, and if you win, you’ll get a great tool kit and the money will go to help JDRF fund research looking for a cure for Type 1 Diabetes. Bid quickly! This auction ends on Tuesday, October 21st, 2014 at 9:00pm EDT.
